Professor Dr. Pakorn Priyakorn

Professor Dr.Pakorn Priyakorn is Director of the Halal Standard Institute of Thailand (HSIT). HSIT is an academic organization under the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT). HSIT and CICOT together with the Halal Science Centre at Chulalongkorn University have been closely working together in setting Halal Standardization and Certification Systems in Thailand.

About his professional career, he has been working at the National institute of Development Administration (NIDA) for so many years. His fields of specialization are mainly on strategic management, project management and public policy. He was the former Dean at Graduate School of Public Administration, Director of International Training Centre and the Member of Council of the University Senates.

Professor Dr.Pakorn got Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of in Political Science from Thammasat University in Bangkok. He then went to further his studies in Cambridge University. He finished Master of Public Administration, Master of Philosophy in Development Studies, and Doctor of Philosophy in Public Management.

Professor Dr.Pakorn Priyakorn will be speaking on the ‘Uniformity of Certification Process’.
